MIDI to Arduino via IAC port

Hi everyone, I'm building something that requires my Arduino to receive MIDI from the computer via an IAC port. I've done this without a problem in a digital-only prototype using Processing and the MIDIbus library, but I can't find an equivalent solution for Arduino. It seems like all guides online only focus on getting MIDI in via serial or an actual MIDI jack, and the standard Arduino MIDI library doesn't appear to feature port selection, unless if I've missed something.

Any ideas?

Thank you! :) Simon

As i understand IAC is used for internal communication between programs on the same computer. If you want to communicate midi messages between a computer you have to options

the standard Arduino MIDI library doesn't appear to feature port selection,

How can it possibly feature a port selection? That is the job of the receiving application and the Arduino can only send out serial through the USB connector or through a hardware MIDI interface?
