Mini Iphone Projector Hack Help

Please first visit this ebay listing so you know what projector I am talking about:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Portable-Mini-Multimedia-Pocket-Cinema-Pico-Projector-for-iPod-iPhone-Tripod-/221046383408?pt=US_Video_Projectors&hash=item3377642330

What I want to do is turn on the projector using a micro-controller (no preference), get the input from the a/v and display it. I built few short animations and I want them to be displayed on the projector when some instance happens in the micro-controller. Let me clarify the project in bullet points....

  1. Instance A happened in the microcontroller: Turn on the projector
  2. Instance B happened in the microcontroller: Take the input from a/v and display it (a custom animation)
  3. Instance C happened in the microcontroller: Take the input from a/v and display it (a different custom animation)

REMEMBER: I AM NOT USING THE PROJECTOR with the IPHONE, I AM JUST TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE A/V PORT.

ALSO I DONT KNOW HOW or WHAT CAN STORE MY ANIMATIONS (COLORED Cartoons) and send A/V out signal...Suggestions!..

Another choice for me is to use this projector:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Portable-MINI-Music-Projector-LED-64-projection-MP3-Notebook-PC-Laptop-USB-/180861277875?pt=US_Video_Projectors&hash=item2a1c2c16b3

Here all the animations can be stored on the SD card and can be played that way. But since they have buttons to scroll through the menus, the problem is how to automate the buttons or access the sd card content....and go to content directly without showing any GUI interface....

I hope someone can help me out here....
I would definitely appreciate some help....

Thanks

You could write your animations to a DVD and use a DVD Player to output the tracks. You could either hack the player or use the IRRemote library to emulate the remote control of the DVD player.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I am looking for some really small media output device probably the size of a projector. But I definitely liked your idea about the IR remote emulation.

Secondly, the projector built in GUI and navigation through it is still an issue. ....

if it works with an iPhone it might also work with an iPod Nano or earlier video iPod.

probably but I cant interface to apple product product via my micro controller as its going to be complex....

Crazy complex and expensive option:
