Mini or micro USB for D1 board?

Hi, I just ordered by mistake, the wrong cable for my Wemos D1 board.

Can someone please advise what cable I need to go from laptop USP to Wemos D1 board? USB to USB mini, or USB to USB micro....????

This is what i ordered and received...but the end is too big for the wemos d1 board.

There are various d1 minis.

But @seniorcitizenhere did not say mini.

@UKHeliBob asked for a link to the board so we can know if it is a mini or a D1 R2 (Uno Size).

Unfortunately @seniorcitizenhere posted a link to the cable, which we already know is unsuitable.

But it does tell us that micro-USB does not fit. To my knowledge, almost all Wemos D1 boards, even the D1 R2, use micro-USB. Never saw one with USB-mini or full-size USB-B like Uno.

But some of the newest Wemos boards use USB-C.

Here's the D1 mini that I have installed in my project; also here's a D1 (not mini) that I also own. The cable I have fits BOTH boards, and that's the cable I need to buy (but I need a short cable). They do sell 6" which is perfect for me, but I just don't know what type cable to order.

From this angle it looks like a micro usb.
But it could be a micro b usb.

Standard D1 and D1 mini. Micro-USB should fit.

Can you show close-up end-on photo of your old cable and new cable together?

the smaller one on the LEFT is what fits. The one on the Right is what I ordered by mistake.

Strictly speaking, it's a micro-b USB. Apparently there is also a micro-a USB. Never seen one of those in the flesh myself.
