Correct, it is I that am mistaken due to the fact that you are not posting a schematic but a physical layout diagram which is hard to follow.
Now why on earth have you
- connected pin 13 to the supply rail of your breadboard?
- are connecting a switch between pin 13 and pin 8?
If you are new then this is very wrong. If you are experienced what are you doing by this.
Can you please post your code using the correct code tags so we can they and make sense of what you are doing.
That is not exactly a power supply you posted, what is powering this board? And what is its current capacity?
