MKR ETH shield on battery

I found a workaround to the issue of the MKR ETH shield not working when the Arduino MKR is powered on external / battery, mentioned in the closed thread MKR 1010 + MKR ETH SHIELD are compatible? - #8 by un4pch

  • cut the 5V pin of the shield to disconnect it from the Arduino MKR board
  • power the shield from the VCC by bridging the VCC and the 5V OF THE SHIELD.
Make sure to have disconnected the 5V of the shield from that of the Arduino before!
