MKR GSM 1400 + Arduino SIM: Connection issue to the GSM network.

Good Morning,

My Name is Emanuele and I am in Zurich (Switzerland). I have started since few months tinking with Arduino. I have bought recently a Arduino MKR GSM 1400 and an Arduino SIM. I am trying to do my first IoT project.

I have encountered a problem during the setup. I have followed all the instructions, I can configure the board, insert the SIM, uploaded the sketch but the setup always fails at the connect to cloud.

I have the right antenna, I have properly activated the SIM Card. I have also tried to reset the MKR GSM, I have checked many times the credential (APN, PIN, USER and Password). I have tried also to change laptop, usb ports etc.

I have previously tested also the board to send a SMS, using my local SIM Card and it was working.

Would be great if someone could support me on this.

I wish you all a nice day.

Emanuele

Hi Emanuele,
