MKR GSM Initial Set Up Issue

i couldn't able to figure out what the issue is . I tried all kinds of troubleshooting.
I need some informtion on to how to rsolve this issue. I doubt that my SIM doesn't have a proper network. (It is a Arduino Sim and i am from India). Not sure how strong the signal is around here. And how to find out the PIN of my Arduino SIM. I found out that by default it is either 0000 or 1234.

** and the famous power issue. how can i resolve this. i doubt this issue because when i connect the board my laptop keeps making that ""new device connected noise"". So, what else should i need to check.
P.S: i connected an additional li-po battery.

Take a look at:

Make use you use at least 2500mA LiPo battery to power it.

If you still have issues with the board, contact the Arduino Tech Support via https://www.arduino.cc/en/contact-us/ and give a clear and short description of the issue.

Hello @Dozie .

Thanks for the instructions . I am using a 1500mA Lipo Battery. This 1500mA was suggested in the below document. But any way can i use 2500mA Li-Ion battery instead.?
[ABX00018_MKR GSM 1400.pdf (tme.eu)]

And other issue was sim coverage. I checked the coverage of India, i.e where i am working form. And arduino sim covers Indian Region. But is there any other way to find the signal strength or check my sim coverage for poor network issues.

Please help me out.
Thank You

1500mA is okay. Make sure you SIM is activated. Run the following sketches from the IDE examples for your board:

  1. TestModem
  2. GsmScanNetworks
They will show if the onboard modem is functional and show available GSM networks in your area.

Hey @Dozie . Thanks for the help. I followed your instructions and came to conclusion that my modem is working but not sure about the GSM network, i am sure my SIM is activated, i got a confirmation mail form Arduino regarding activation. Attached few images below to make you understand better. Can you plesae help me figure out what else can be the problem.
Thank You

Alright. Please raise an issue with our Technical Support, give details of the issue and what you have tried to resolve it. Use https://www.arduino.cc/en/contact-us/ to contact the Arduino Technical Support.

Hi @akhilranga did you hear back from Arduino support? I have raised a ticket with them as I have two MKR GSMs out of the box that work fine until I run a sketch on them then it disconnects. I have put it on the community but as yet noone has come forward.
