MKR GSM unable to connect to Arduino IoT Cloud

Hi,

I am having trouble connecting my Arduino MKR GSM 1400 to the Arduino IoT cloud service.
I am using an Arduino Arm pelion sim and have an aerial.
I have registered the sim showing ‘active’ in the ‘device manager and am connecting with the settings show there.

SECRET_APN – SECRET_prepay.pelion
SECRET_PIN – SECRET_0000
SECRET_USER_NAME - SECRET_arduino
SECRET_PASSWORD - SECRET_arduino

I have a 5v 4500mAh battery (not LiPo) and have tried to connect to the network with this switched on to provide the suggested 2A of current possibly required.
I have had to rename the MDR GSM three times during setup (as the install failed and requested a different name for the device).
I have now managed to complete the setup procedure, registering on the Arduino IoT cloud service and successfully turning on and off the on board led using the serial monitor (although it is possible that this could have been achieved through the usb cable and not necessarily through the GSM network).
I have run the ‘GSM_iCloud_blink’ example to try to create a connection to the cloud but since initial setup, have not managed to connect. I have tried this with just usb and with the usb cable connected but with the usb cable switched off and power supplied by the battery to provide extra power.

I suspect that the connection problems are related to configuration and are not hardware related but may be wrong.

Any help would be very much appreciated

Thx
