Did I brick my MKR NB 1500 board?
-
When I connect the board to my Windows 10 computer, it does not get a COM port number as before. I don't see the board in Device Manager under Ports(COM & LPT) as before, and Windows does not make the typical sound when connecting a new device to it.
-
When I connect the board to my computer via USB:
-- The ON LED turns on and remains on
-- The CHRG LED blinks fast.
-- The reset button does not do anything anymore. -
I have tried using another USB cable and another USB port but still does not work.
-
I have an Arduino Pro Edge Control board and it works fine using the same USB cables and USB ports, so I know the USB cables and the USB ports are working fine.
-
I tried following the instructions from here: MKR1500 No Longer Recognized, but pressing the reset button twice quickly does not do anything to the board either.
-
I also tried rebooting my computer. I tried using Arduino IDE 1.8 and 2.0. Tried on another computer and nothing.
-
I have its antenna connected and the SIM card in.
-
I opened a ticket with Arduino Support, but they only work on the weekdays, and they usually take days to respond.
so, did I brick my board?
UPDATE: I found an instruction to rebuild the bootloader of my board using another MKR board. I will try this. Updated Guide to easely rebuild the bootloader for MKR Boards with a second MKR (WITHOUT SD Card)
