MKR NB 1500 stuck in + CEREG: 0.0

Hello everyone,
few days ago I wrote about a problem with my MKR NB 1500, where I could not in any way communicate with the modem, the problem was solved by replacing the card.
When the new one arrived, I tested it with TestModem, and it works (the modem responds). Trying the NBScanNetworks sketch, however, the sketch remains stationary on + CEREG: 0.0, ... I understand it cannot register to the network.

so i decided to update by following a guide L0.0.00.00.05.06,A.02.00 --> L0.0.00.00.05.08,A.02.04:
screenshots before and after the update:

after updating i keep having the same problem: + CEREG: 0.0
Do you recommend upgrading to the version L0.0.00.00.05.12,A.02.19 ?
(following https://forum.arduino.cc/t/firmware-upgrade-for-ublox-sara-r410m-02b-on-the-mkr-nb-1500-2/699292/14)

Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Yes i do. I had a problem with sms that u-blox denied to exist. With 5.12 it's solved.

Do you have your APN set?

The only way to get the firmware to update is by contacting u-blox ??
I'm having a hard time getting an answer so I'm stuck at the moment

In NBScanNetworks sketch there is no field for the APN

Firmware upgrade for UBLOX SARA-R410M-02B on the MKR NB 1500 #2 - #8 by intstarep as a hint..

When I go to that link, it sends me to a page "File Exchange Service" that requires a login and my u-blox credentials are rejected.

Read Post #8 carefully and find the login hint.

I’m sorry I can’t take the hint, could you be more specific? thx

something you say when you give someone permission to do or use something

Download can be used as either a verb or a noun. As a verb, it refers to the process of receiving data over the Internet. For example, you can download files using an FTP program, download email messages with an email client, and download software updates directly through your operating system.

Hi,
I am a freshman using MKR NB 1500, could you tell me how to get the information of this firmware?
Many thanks

thanks for the very helpful, clear, and concise definition and examples of how to use the term download. it'll be great trivia to share next time I need to make small talk with a guest.
I had opened a support case with u-blox, for the firmware as you had mentioned on a different post and my case was almost immediately closed with no further communication from the support team, which was so very helpful. now I have a glimmer of hope to get the modem working right on my MKR NB 1500.

:joy:

i don't know why they let their customers bag for the firmware..
Good luck!
