MKR Relay Proto Shield Max Input for Anolog Pins?

Hi all,

I am looking at the MKR Relay Proto Shield and I want to know what the max input voltage is for pins A1 to A4. It says the "Max. operating voltage" is "24 VAC, 50 VDC" is that max voltage into the A1 to A4 Anolog Pins?

Any help with this would be awesome!

Thanks very much,

Zeb

That is the maximum voltage that the relays can switch.

Voltages applied to I/O pins must be between ground and Vcc (which I think is 3.3v on that board?)

OK thanks for that! Do you know of any shields for the Arduino that will enable it to take larger voltages in the input pins? (like 24DC)

Thanks,

Zeb

I don't think there is a shield but you could use put voltage regulator to input power to the MKR because 24 VDC is too much for the MKR. If you NEED the 24VDC then use the input power of the voltage regulator for the 24VDC and use the output pin for the MKR. Here is a voltage regulator you could try: 5V 1.5A Linear Voltage Regulator - 7805 TO-220 : ID 2164 : $0.75 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits.
