MKR WiFi 1010 Max current on 5V pin

I've read at the FAQs that the 5V pin outputs 5V from the board when powered from the USB connector or from the VIN pin. It is unregulated and the voltage is taken directly from the inputs

As I understand, I should be able to supply a 80mA device although the specs say that the max current for pin is 7mA... right?

The device I want to power specifies an inrush current of 600mA, would this fry the board?

just power it separately. Why would you want to go through the small copper traces of your board?

The sensor and the board would only have one outlet available so I have to devise a way to power both with the same 5V adapter but since I have 0 experiencie in HW I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. Being realist I've no idea of what I'm doing :)))))

Then 80mA is to much for the board?
It would sustain 600mA for just a second at start up.

take the 2 wires from your 5V adapter (5V and GND) and split them in two.

One pair goes to the sensor and one goes to the Arduino.

Oh. That was my first option but I thought... nah, I'm missing something, I'll start a fire this way.

Thanks for your time and help.

have fun!
