MKR1000 Windows 7 driver installation problem

I had my MKR1000 connected to my Windows 7 PC but am having issues all of a sudden (there were a few updates to my Arduino IDE but not sure that's related).

When I plug in my MKR1000 to my USB port, Windows shows an "Unknown Device" in the Device Manager under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers." When I try to manually update the drivers (pointing to C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\drivers), Windows just states "The best driver software for your device is already installed" and the device is still listed as "Unknown Device."

I've tried plugging the MKR1000 into my USB port as well as a USB 2.0 hub. Same results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. My Uno board works fine.

I noticed when plugged directly into my PC, the "Device Status" shows:
No drivers are installed for this device.

When I plug it into the USB 2.0 hub I see:
This device is disabled because the firmware of the device did not give it the required resources. (Code 29)

Does this not fall under the same as your other post ?

Win 7 with USB 2.0 ports here and zero issues with my MKR's
That does not help you I know

Maybe had you taken the time to go to the MKR section and read a few posts regarding driver issues you could find an answer ?

However there are occasions when the driver must be installed manually as my first one did not like the drivers in the drivers folder either.

Going to ask that this thread either be merged with our other one or moved to the correct area.

Just a heads up there are more areas for you to discover if you go HERE and SCROLL down.
