MKR1010 Apple OS, does anyone really got it to work

Dear all,

I was wondering, is anyone actually using this device and is able to program it

MacBook Pro, USB3 ports
IDE 1.8.10
OS Catelina, 10.15.1

I am able to program a bunch of genuine Arduino devices, cables all work fine with other devices. So I can rule out cable and USB port.

The only devices (I have tested two of them) I am not able to program is my MKR1010 Arduino (original ).

Now I have two questions:
1] Can anyone verify that she/he is able to program MKR1010
2] If so, could yo shed some light on how on earth you got this working.

I am on then brick of sending my two devices back to arduino saying they are faulty (which they are probably not, but they don't function a you would expect so that's my definition of a faulty product, ha ha).

btw, I also tested this on earlier Mac OS with USB 2, also to no avail.

Thank you

Please provide a detailed description of the problem you're having when trying to program the boards, including the full text of any error messages you might be getting.

MeandMrsJones,

Thank you for sharing your issue with the Arduino community.

As user Pert mentions on previous post, it would be beneficial to include as much information about the issue as possible.

At first sight, it is worth checking that you installed SAMD driver for your MKR board as they are different from the Genuino drivers.

To do that, go to Arduino IDE > Tools > Board > Boards Manager and search for 'Arduino SAMD Boards'

If the problem persists please contact Arduino Technical Support

I hope this helped!
