Do you think it is a good idea to connect a solar panel (6v max) directly on the VIN pin of the mkr1310 to charge the battery ?
No.
Why?
The only way is to connect a TP4056 between solar panel and MKR1310 ?
In summation, a solar panel is a current device, and the battery charger is a voltage device. The current supply should be converted to a voltage supply. A PWM or MPPT charge controller will do the conversion.
