MKRNB 1500 TestModem Fails

I am using the testmodem example from the MKRNB and in the terminal I receive the below messege:

Starting modem test...ERROR, no modem answer.
Checking IMEI...Error: Could not get IMEI

Would anyone be able to help out I have had a look at few forum topics tried those methods like arduino on a new computer, fresh installation of arduino ide and restarting computer

I checked the sim card and it is getting coverage and I have also connected an antenna to the MKRNB 1500 board.

Any help would really be appreciate

I would be really glad if that problem could be resolved as I have the same problem. One Arduino did not work at all (never managed to get past modem.begin()) whereas the other Arduino first managed to surpass this several times, afterwards the rate dropped to 50% and after ~ 10 further tests the success rate was zero. I also tested the board with and without an attached battery but this did not change anything and now I cannot talk to the modem on the Arduino board any more...

Do appreciate that these forums are inhabited by volunteers, its possible no-one has any experience of using the MKRNB 1500.

Did any of you found a solution? I am having the same issue, with the battery connected or power supply in VIN or usb...
