Hi! Do you know if it's possibile to have some data about geolocation of an MKRNB1500? It should be theoretically possibile to ask the cell for LAT/LON data? Do anyone know if there is a way to do this?
Thanks!
The ublox SARA R410-02B doesn't seem to have GPS features like the SARA R422. It has a feature called "GNSS via Modem". My best guess is that means you can connect a ublox GNSS receiver to the chip and talk to it indirectly, saving you one serial port.
You can do cell locate but's not very precise (+- 2 km out in the country).
SARA-R422M8S has a integrated GNSS GPS receiver, the modem on the mkr1500 has none.
The arduino GPS shield is a nice piece of hardware to geolocate with the sparkfun lib for the m8q chip. You can replace the battery for the receiver and it's made for the mkr.
