MM7150-AB0 accelerometer

Hi guys.

I am currently working on my final year project in University.

At this point I am trying to figure out which components to use, I am using Arduino Uno as my controller and was thinking of using the MM7150-AB0 accelerometer introduced by Microchip last year as my motion module.

I am having some compatibility issues, I need to order my components and I am not sure the two recognize each other, I have searched many forums but keep getting the result that its only been used with the Dev 16 board.

Does any of you guys can point me in the right direction to finding my answer?

Apologies if this is a rookie mistake

Appreciate your help, and thanks to all who have helped Arduino to become such an amazing community and advanced technology!

The MM7150 is not an accelerometer.

It is a 9-axis sensor fusion with a rather powerful microprocessor and a standard I2C interface.

For a final year university project, you might want to do a little background reading.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I have researched the component from Youtube and Microchip homepage to delivery websites such as RS components and Farnel.

copy-paste from RS components website says:

On-board are 3 Motion Sensors (accelerometer, magnetometer and gyroscope) to provide 9-axis measurement.

that is of http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/products/8711727/

If you research the component further you can see that it has been used at a promotion event in Nurnberg Aprill 2015 to demonstrate its readings.

I apologise if I have misunderstood this,

thanks for giving this a second opinion!

That is fantastic news!

Hi.

I also want to try this module. If You are already working with this module, you can help me in writing code to control them via Arduino. I will be very grateful for the help.
