I was wondering if there were any suggestions in configuring my bot to move up, down, left and right without turning? So I want it to be able to move in a cross shape but I do not want turns to accomplish this.
If your robot has wheels, and by "up" and "down" you mean horizontal motion, then use Omniwheels.

I want the bot to move horizontally and vertically without turns! These omniwheels can enable the bot to move in one line of direction and then the perpendicular line? So I would need four and then if the wheels are not turning they would just slide in the needed direction?
An airborne drone can move vertically. A wheeled robot moves horizontally.
Please be clear what you talking about, after Googling omniwheels, of course.
