Mobile Rover motors turn on to fast even when tuned properly

I'm working on the mobile rover for the Engineering Kit V2. I've ran the motor characterization for both motors and have tuned them properly. When I try any section via Simulink (let's say 5.4) the code is uploaded to the Arduino. When setting down the rover and turning it on, it turns very slowly, stops for a couple seconds, then turns into a porsche and runs the motors as fast as possible.

Just curious if anyone had this issue? Not sure why they won't run similar to when I tuned and controlled the rover via commands. Thanks for the help.

Very few of the members of the forum have an Engineering Kit V2 so we do not know of what you write. Nor do we have a clue what a Simulink 5.4 is.

So, please, post the code here. Read the forum guidelines to see how to properly post code and some hints on how to get the best from this forum.
Use the IDE autoformat tool (ctrl-t or Tools, Auto format) before posting code in code tags.

Post a schematic also.

My apologies, I was referring to section/exercise 5.4 of the mobile rover, which is the same for rev 1 & 2.

In this case, I'll post exercise 5.6, which uses roverPlanPath_hw.slx to control the rover. Apparently new users aren't allowed to upload anything so I can't put in the simulink model or even a screenshot of it.

Also, what kind of schematic are you looking for?
