Experiencing the same issue as THIS THREAD.
The Opta can be configured fine over USB-C, and my SCADA system can talk to the device when enabled. However if i want to use the PLC IDE, i cannot establish a connection over TCP.
The project i hoping to use these on will be using the expansion modules, so i need to use version 1.0.6 at least, however it looks like this issue is due to this release?
These devices will be in remote unmanned locations to connectivity is essential.
I'm also having the same issue. My Opta is visible on the network and I can see port 502 is open. When I attempt to connect to it in the PLC IDE (my version's 1.0.7) it shows an error. Looking at the traffic on the diagnostic tool for the connection, it looks like this:
Which I think is a request to read holding registers, followed by an error from the opta.
When I was having a look into this I saw the same thread as you where @PerryBebbington offered some insight into this issue. I feel like I've tried everything now, even writing a python script to send ModbusTCP commands. I'd really appreciate any advice the community has!
