Modifying the makefile of the bootloader

Hello Forum,

I'm trying to modify the bootloader's clock speed so i can run my arduino setup at 10 mhz. I've modified the following line of code on the makefile: "# enter the target CPU frequency AVR_FREQ = 10000000L " and i now want to recompile the bootloader in order to get a new updated hex file.

Trying to execute the makefile through terminal gives me a bunch of errors including: "i686-apple-darwin9-gcc-4.0.1: =: No such file or directory i686-apple-darwin9-gcc-4.0.1: avr-gcc: No such file or directory i686-apple-darwin9-gcc-4.0.1: no input files" and some "command not found" on about 40 of the commands.

I've just installed AvrMacPack so i have Avrdude, avr-gcc ect... up and running.

Any thoughts on what i might be doing wrong? I get a since like i'm missing/misunderstanding one piece of the puzzle.

How are you executing the makefile? Typing "make"? Are avr-gcc, etc. in your path?
