Hello I'm a beginner in Arduino. I am working on a project relating GPS locations. I bought the module but it comes without any pins installed (I already have Arduino UNO starter kit). I took some male header pins from the Arduino kit, How can I correctly add some pins? Do I need female pins? How can I make it work. Please help
You can connect the module to the UNO using jumper wires (male/male) without any soldering. You have to find a way to ensure good electrical connection at the module pins. This only works for a temporary setup. Eventually you will need to solder the header pins to the module holes. It is easy to permanently damage the metal pads around the holes so good soldering skills are required. (I have ruined two modules like yours through bad soldering/desoldering.) Try to determine as best you can if you want the header pins to be at right angles to the module board or parallel.
