Moisture sensor detecting failure

Hello guys, for school project im designing smart green house, and one thing i need is to have secured water pump, so i have a moisture sensor here (standart conductivity one) and I want to have a LED to turn on when it is disconnected and all relays to turn off, because when that sensor is disconected my system detects it as if the soil is dry and it turns on water pump. So if something bad happens, my greenhouse will be full of water and my water pump fryed.
