The motor in the link in Reply #29 seems to be a 1.5 amp motor and a Pololu DRV8825 stepper driver should be quite suitable. If you are convinced you need a stepper driver that can supply more current then one that uses a TB65xxx or TB66xx chip would be the next most economical choice.
If you want advice about a different motor then post a link to its datasheet.
A pair of h-bridges is not suitable because they are not designed to limit the current to protect the stepper motor.
