More output pins needed (combining shields)

Don't really know if this is the best location to pose this question, so move if needed.

I am currently working on a project with a Duemillanova. To this I need to attach an Ethernet shield (using pins 10-13) and an LCD shield (using pins 4-9). This leaves me with pin 0-3. Exactly enough for my purposes, if not that 0 and 1 are hardwired to TX/RX which interferes.

Am I stuck here or are there solutions to this problem? This scheme shows the apparent use of analog pins as output, but I do not see this being supported in the Reference.

BTW: for the testing phase I'll drive LEDs with the pins, later on these will be (probably transistor driven) solid state releais.

Any help is hugely appreciated.

The analog pins can be used as digital pins. As analog pins, there are referred to as pins 14 to 19 (Analog pin 0 = Digital pin 14).

Ah, ok... did I do a lousy search, or can we put this information somewhere?

It's all there,

you just have to read the whole page.
