One major problem is "tapping morse code".Morse is based on long and short signals. Not taps. Even not taps at varying intervals - or how are you going to have letter separation? Extra long time between taps? Then was the last tap supposed to be a dit or a dah?
I should've rephrased. I thought about the issue with tapping and the difficulties with that and that's why I decided to use a button that can be held longer for dah and shorter for dit.
