Mosfet Power controller

Hello,

I connected a MOSFET Power Controller - SparkFun MOSFET Power Controller - PRT-11214 - SparkFun Electronics - to control a small DC blower fan, powered by a 6V lantern battery. The picture is attached. Red and black wires power the fan. The yellow wire is connected to the Arduino digital output. However, the power always seems to be on, regardless of the Arduino's setting.
Any suggestions on the connections?

Try this.
The diode across the motor is critical.
Some would say the "inherent diode" of the MOSFET is sufficient - I say diodes are cheap, just add it - 1N4001 or similar.

IN+ is ardiuno control pin, IN- connects to arduino GND.
