Most misused word on the forum

Implement. I see that one go a bunch of different ways.

Some of the words depend on which side of the pond you came from too.
Whats with "zeds" and "zeese"... I like zeeze shoes...I also like zeese arduino things"

Know some posters are trying really hard to put things across in English but I still on occasion chuckle to my self.

Even as a native born "English" person I still drop words that don't always translate well.
More so if the convo is pretty free flowing.
Had to explain to one of the DEV's what "pooched" was and another phrase I wont mention.

Do you mean misuse of the word, or choice in quality standards?

help. QED NQP

'Convo'? As in "convolve the pooch"?

"simple question"

...R

@ Travis...That is SO misused around here.

Usually followed by a phrase about homework or other educational project.

@ Chris

"convo" = conversation...See how easy it is for me to lapse

@ R2

"Simple" often defined as 2-3 pages of back and forth to get to the truth of a situation and provide a quick answer at the end.

LOL no .... Been in tech a looong time...Used to prefer RTFM or a few other variations but doesn't seem quite right in here seeing as there is no manual as such.

Also liked "I'm good but I ain't GOD so no it cannot be fixed"

"Wife thinks I have magic fingers but that's different to the fix you need"

"Anything can be fixed how much money do you have...I may take your first born as down payment"

Ballscrewbob:
"Anything can be fixed how much money do you have...I may take your first born as down payment"

That might be a risky suggestion. Sensible parents would offer you the whole flock

What exactly are YOU trying to "implement" here?

I think Travis and Ballscrewbob should implement some different avatars. At first glance I didn't really focus on them and it looked like Travis was talking to himself. How my brain mixed up a submarine and a motorcycle is beyond me, I guess I just saw yellow and moved on.

Hmmm one of em has wheels and doesn't float too well the other only sinks if you tell it to !

Ballscrewbob:
doesn't float too well

Oh how well I know about that... Long story, suffice it to say that I don't have a bike anymore.

Yup never trust the bike salesman..."Ya will be going so fast ya wont even get yer feet wet"

More like, when you see the suggested speed for the curve, don't just think, "Hey, I'm on a bike I should be able to triple that."

As in “screwed the”?

LOL no that would have been awkward.

"Screwed the pooch" is another way of saying "totally f'd up" for at least 20 years that I know of.

Have you ever heard of ruining someone's whole day? That means killed in military slang.

In really bad parts of town, "payday" means a victim has been spotted.

NFG means NotFunctioningGood.

.

It's also a poke in the eye for English majors!
