I am working on an Arduino project where the device has to scan for certain wifi SSIDs (2.4 GHz) and has to alert when it detects them (no connection necessary, reception only). Problem is the range. The shield I tested could detect a normal router only at 100 ft. in the open, or so. A better antenna did not help a lot.
Can anyone recommend a highly sensitive wifi shield (best for Nano)? Any better ideas?
