Moteino

Just came across this and was wondering if anybody here has used them?
They look impressive with what's jammed onto them compared to there size and the potential of programming them over wireless really appeals as I never got BT wireless programming to work. I would like to order a couple but worry about customs hijacking and holding them to ransom.

It's a bit big - won't fit in my NGauge trains.

I've seen them in the form of the Jeenode receiver and his (Moteino's) modifications that make them a bit more universally compatible. The Jeenode is nice.. If you like a very unusual.. form factor, the comments about connectors sticking out at 'odd' angles is true, I bought 2 of the jeenodes and I've never used them.. I don't have any IIC 'accessories' I'd want to connect and the SPI bus is only the ISP connector except of course the radio.. Not great unless your problems fit Jeenode solutions.. Personally I really like the SPI Eeprom or flash.. Jeenodes lock you into a hangie board for that, an odd one at that on the IIC bus and the rest is just as individual in character.
The Moteino is an effective revision of a jeenode with a more universal personality, an easier to use library and for lack of a better description a better thought out hardware interface.
