motor control L293d

Hey. I am new too electronics and Arduino. As my first project i while have the Arduino control a little rc car. But I have run into a problem that I hope you can help me with. I have found that the L293D has a very big voltage drop (around 2 Volts) so my 6 volt motors don’t get enough voltage. So if anybody knows a good cheap H-Bridge with a very low voltage drop please write.

I have room for 4 to 5 AA batteries. I have two motors and the need 6V and uses 500 -600 mA each.
