motor control

I want to connect a 10 volts DC motor to arduino, but I don't want to use the IFR520 transistor with it.

Can a 5 volts relay coil with a diode with out the transistor ?

Thanks

If the current is low enough, yes. But it is not advised due to possibility of damage to the Arduino

Edit

The relay should be controlled by a low power transistor. It is always best to separate any coils from the Arduino.

You can get optically isolated relay boards that can be driven from an arduino pin like below. Check ebay.
