The relays don't show on your circuit diagram.
It seems you're powering two 2Amp motor drivers with a single 1Amp voltage regulator.
What sort of motor is connected to the motor drivers, and why the L298 on a (low) 6.4volt supply.
That ancient chip drops ~2.5volt@1Amp and ~3.75volt@2Amp.
Those chips are made for 12volt or 24volt, so that dropout voltage is less of a problem.
