Motor Driver/Shield Compatability

Just a quick question, is a dc motor compatible or can I use with a stepper motor driver/shield and vice versa without any problems? Thanks!

You have not told us what shield your question relates to - please post a link to its datasheet.

The control of stepper motors is completely different from DC motors.

Depending on the motor and the application my own preferences for most regular DC motors would be a suitable MOSFET for simplicity and speed control if direction is not a concern.

We need to know many more details about the motor you wish to use and how you wish to apply that motor to your project ?

The DC motor that I will use is the DT-25-370/9V11500-75K and I will use it for my project's tank wheel.

Do you have a LINK for it ?

I was considering the TB6600 motor driver but it also says that it is for a stepper motor. https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/1005001770661390.html

I think the TB6600 may be overkill.

Something like an EASYDRIVER or very similar may be more suitable.

Will you be using the encoder on that motor ?

I don't need the encoder, I just need it to run and stop.
I think the easydriver isn't enough for 2 of those DT-25-370/9V11500-75K which have a max of 4.5A

Sorry, but (unusually for Bob) this is all wrong. The OP has a DC motor and needs a DC motor driver that can produce at least 4.5 amps and preferably 6 amps - to provide some headroom.

The Pololu website has a good range of DC motor drivers.

Yep I did drop the ball here.
Thanks Robin for keeping me in check.
