Using this library to write code to get a motor going 2400 rpm, I can get to about 200. Ive adjusted the pwm fq to 10khz, and current to 2.5a, 24v going to the shield. Thoughts? I was thinking software issue but not sure. Im almost wondering if the motor needs higher voltage than the board is capable of outputting
What motor are you using?
From this page.
"For higher currenty stay at some kHz,
for low current up to 20 kHz is possible.
Default 3kHz"
1000 RPM cold be the limit for most motors.

Hard to say without knowing which of the thousands of different stepper motors.
From that, I guess it's a low-voltage motor, which is ok with a 24volt supply.
The 2400 RPM seems unrealistic.
