Hello,
I have everything for my DC motor hooked up, but when I attach the power supply the motor emits a hum/buzz and does not revolve. Am I not using enough power or is something broken?
Thank you,
D

Yes.
Not enough information to answer. Need motor and driver data sheets and power supply specifications to start.

The driver is rated 9-42VDC 4A and I was using a 9V battery to test, but I have a 24v power supply for after I know everything works. Is a 9V battery just not enough? The motor is nema 23 rated for 1.7V 2A
Thanks
is his the same linear rail and TB6600 stepper driver from this thread?

Depends on the 9V battery. A small rectangular "smoke alarm" 9V battery is not enough.
