MotorDriver L293D

Hello,
i’m trying to use the motor driver L293. I’ve attached everything like in the picture. But my problem is that my motor recieves not the supply voltage. When i’m measuring the output voltage i get 1V at Pin 3, and 5V at Pin 6. Do i may need any Pull Up/ Down Resistors?
Or is the ic may damaged?

Thank You

That chip has a 2.5-3volt saturation voltage.
If you use a 6volt motor, you should use a 9volt supply.
More modern mosfet based H-bridges have much less voltdrop.
Leo..

Thank you verry much. I'm not used to work with mosfets.
Can you give me an example of such a "modern" H Bridge

I think the point was there are better bridge chips that use MOSFETs internally, not
darlingtons. You don't need to know how it works!
