Motors for car

Hi, I'm building a small rc car which I'd like to go pretty fast (it's indoors).

I have it set up to run the two motors at 9v, but I'm not sure specifically what motors to buy.

I'm looking for a small, 9v DC motor that goes pretty fast, any ideas?

you need this one
and a controller like this one
Don't chose DC motor without a gear
good luck

Thanks, but that's not quite what I'm looking for...

I already have a controller, a dual h-bridge IC. Also, the car is literally going to be tiny, so those motors are a bit too heavy and a bit slow.

Also, as they won't be bearing much load, it probably won't need a gear, right?

a DC motor without a gear is useless, too fast and you can't control it, if you want it fast use one DC motor with gear so both wheels on one DC, and the other DC on a gear shifter to rotate your Car
or more simple than that buy small cheep car and hack it
that's a gear shifter

i don't think you can find this type of gears, but if you want more details you can find allot of website about RC cars ask there

Maybe try some of these:

Those will run nominally at 6V, but it says they can take up to 9V. There is different gearing available to select between torque and speed.

You could try this one, at Hobby Motor - Gear - ROB-11696 - SparkFun Electronics . It is good and all, 6600 RPM, can work with 9v, and has a gear. I actually have it, too, and the wires under the heatshrink actually separated, so I had to solder them back on. Otherwise, it works really well! Plus, the wires are good for breadboards. You can use a transistor to control it.

you need ... a controller like this one

No, nobody needs a controller like that any more... At high currents you lose almost 5V through there, and can heat your house with the wasted energy. Look at that heatsink: what's left of your energy after the voltage drop, is used up moving that lump around.
