Motors to roll up curtains

Hello, I am wondering if anyone in here can help me with this project: http://arduino.cc/forum/index.php/topic,159913.0.html

I need a motor to roll up my curtain. It is approx 100 x 120 mm (w x h).

I thought of using a servo motor and use gears but there has to be a better way to do it.
