Moved topics disappearing?

Why is it that the original post got through the spam filter when first posted but not when moving it?

As I mentioned in my previous reply, my understanding of the system is:

1. Forum member publishes a post and it becomes visible to everyone.
2. The post is submitted by the forum software to the "Akismet" spam detection service.
3. Akismet reports back that the post looks like spam.
4. The forum software hides the post from public view.

So the move happens to occur during the interval between steps 1 and 4.

The alternative would be to delay the publishing of the posts until the report comes back from Akismet. As we saw, that delay is long enough for people to see and move the topic before the report comes back.
