In windows/firefox, I have been using safe mode (all options enabled) for the last week; noscript and abp enabled. No disappearing topics till now.
I will keep on using it a little longer like this and next start enabling the options one by one.

I frequently move topics and have never experienced this problem. I don't have any noscripts/adblock/etc. sort of browser add-ons installed.
It is a fair criticism when it comes to Arduino, but I don't agree with it when it comes to Discourse staff. In my opinion, @dax1 has been very responsive when it comes to supporting Discourse-specific issues. Of course, we can't expect on-demand responses 24/7 from one person.

It feels like there is a batch process because in my recent two cases the missing post was visible again shortly after getting the error message (post unavailable or private). May be you don’t experience the issue because you have more rights and can see all private / hidden messages?
