MPU-6050 accelerometer sharp movements detector

Hey everyone, I want to Connect MPU-6050 accelerometer to the Arduino. Register sharp movements (i.e. shaking the accelerometer), and turn on a LED when such movements are detected.

I'm on my first steps learning the language, having a hard time doing that.
can anyone help me on this quest?
