MPU 6050 gesture processing / analyze

Hello,

I'm working on some project with the arduino for my LARP hobby to "simulate" magic. I played around with the MPU and it works well with giving me it orinatation. (build some lamp that changes color based on my hands orientation.
But now I'd like to get the movment of my hand anaylze in a way that not only "if and how strong I move" I want "know" what symbol i wrote in to air.
so if i make a circel with the MPU i want effekt B, if i do a triangel effekt B.
I'm not a professinal progammer so i need help but also a lot if time in google didn't give me anythign usefull, bejond pure oriantions data.
is there something a (code or bib) available? or does someone have a idea who to solve this problem.

the epic level would be to analyze komplex symbols like character or runes but basic geometric would also be great.

You cannot be the first person to think of this. What did you find when you searched the internet?

If you find something which is close but not exactly what you want, bring it here with a clear description of what you want it to do different.

With some small restrictions, such as a "this way up" on the magic wand, this should not be too difficult.
