MPU6050?

I am looking for a good Gyro/acc meter and with all the queries do, the 6050 keeps popping up.

However, the libraries seem to be for advanced programmers.

is there a easier model that I can use for logging the movement of an RC car?

You can stick a pin on the wheels of the car and have the pin close a switch for each wheel rotation and then count wheel rotations do some math with wheel diameter and calculate distance traveled, per wheel, and so and and so forth or use a MMU with a library.

logging the movement of an RC car?

If by "movement" you mean distance traveled or position, an IMU won't be useful.

If you just want "air time" or "wow that was a big impact with the wall, I wonder how many G's it was?" then you only need an accelerometer. I like the ADXL345 a lot.

No, i want to log the roll/pitch of the car in comparison to the commands I give the car.

Is that all or do you have more requirements that you have not given out? An MUP6050 would work well. A accelerometer module would also work.
