MQ-2 using ESP8266

I didn't mean your sensor is dumb in any negative sense toward your purchase, please understand. I meant that it's a ribbon of tin that heats up to a wide range of gases. It's not designed to measure any particular target gas with precision over time.
Those sensors aren't of the MOS variety, more the catalytic bead and if memory serves wired into a bridge, with one of the resistors being something you can dial in for calibration.
Yours has a fixed load resistor, so you have to do it in software and recognize its limitations.
What are you trying to measure and what is your application?
