Hi everyone,
I get some information from Arduino Playground - MQGasSensors
There are many kinds of sensors in MQ series ( MQ-2, MQ-3, MQ-4, MQ-5, MQ-6, MQ-7, etc. )
but their sensing material all are SnO2 !!!
Why these sensors will be sensitive for particular compound,
what are the differences between these sensors.
Thanks.
The Tin_dioxide is doped with other materials to make them most sensible to a certain family of gases.
So that's how it is !! Thanks !!
By the way, I want to detect the heavier compound like SVOC,
I don't know which is suitable for me.
can somebody recommend a sensor for me?

As I understand this, you want to detect gas from some sort of material? (one sensor VERY close , the other a short distans away from the object)
You have to make a qualified guess of what to find - and select a sensor based on that guess.
