Had an idea for an entertainment cabinet to hold all my gaming consoles. To do this I want to make several rotating tables stacked on top of each other. Similar to a rotating spice rack. I want to be able to select a console from a keypad and have it rotate the appropriate tray so that the console will be out front.
I'm new to arduino programming and robotics but not new to hack and modding. I've tried to find a similar project to work off from found nothing. Would it be better to use stepper motors or servos? What would be the best sensor to use to get the tray to stop in the right spot?
Any help or direction would be appreciated. Just looking for a place to start from.

Yes, definitely. For what?

No sensor on earth will make the tray stop. Perhaps you need to check other planets.
