the problem happens with the ultrasonic sensor which stop taking measurement when connected to the + rail on the breadboard,

Could it be a "breadboard middle gap issue" ?

On some breadboards the top and bottom (power) rails are split in the middle so the split must be bridged for the rails to be continuous.
