I'm thinking about making something like this "64 rgb led table" with MULTITOUCH ability - YouTube but smaller !
What do you think is the best way to detect that the user is touching the surface of the box?
I was thinking about a paper-taped plexiglas or glass surface with an IR emitter and detector in each cell. And the users finger would produce a shadow that opens the contact by touching the surface.
But wouldn't the neighbour cell detect the hand? :-?
